Answer: (C) 1911
The Partition of Bengal (1905) was annulled in 1911 when King George V announced its reversal at the Delhi Durbar. Lord Hardinge, who succeeded Lord Minto as Viceroy, oversaw the reunification of Bengal. Simultaneously, the capital of India was shifted from Calcutta to Delhi. The partition had lasted six years and generated massive nationalist opposition.
