Which country has announced that it has carried out its first Hydrogen Bomb test?
- a.South Korea
- b.North Korea
- c.China
- d.Japan
Answer: (B) North Korea
North Korea announced on 6 January 2016 that it had successfully tested its first hydrogen bomb (its fourth nuclear test), at the Punggye-ri site; it claimed a much bigger hydrogen bomb test on 3 September 2017. A hydrogen bomb works on nuclear fusion, whereas an atom bomb works on fission. North Korea's capital is Pyongyang and its leader is Kim Jong-un.
