The following state is the highest producer of tin in India :
  1. a.Rajasthan
  2. b.Odisha
  3. c.Jharkhand

Answer: (D) Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh is the only tin-producing state of India; cassiterite (tin ore, $SnO_2$) is mined in the Dantewada-Sukma belt of the old Bastar district. Rajasthan leads in zinc, lead, gypsum and marble; Odisha leads in bauxite, chromite, manganese and iron ore; Jharkhand is known for coal, mica, copper and uranium (Jaduguda). Tin is used for tin-plating, solder (tin + lead) and bronze (copper + tin), and India imports most of its requirement.
