Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was conferred the Netaji Award 2022 by the Netaji Research Bureau at the Elgin Road residence in Kolkata, on the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The honour was received by Japan's Consul General in Kolkata on Abe's behalf.
