The India–Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (Ind-Aus ECTA) was signed on 2 April 2022 and came into force on 29 December 2022. It was India's first trade agreement with a developed country in about a decade and gives duty-free access to most Indian exports; a fuller Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement is to follow. Do not confuse it with the India–UAE CEPA (signed February 2022, in force from 1 May 2022). India's trade agreement with the United Kingdom was signed only in July 2025, and there is no free-trade agreement with the USA or France (France falls under the India–EU negotiations).
