"Regicide" (Latin rex/regis = king + -cide = killing) is the killing of a king, or the person who does it. "Homicide" is the killing of any human being, "parricide" is the killing of a parent or near relative (patricide = father, matricide = mother) and "fratricide" is the killing of one's brother (sororicide = sister).
