Who has been appointed as secretary of Indian President Ramnath Kovind?
  1. a.Gopal Jha
  2. b.Dharam Dev Solanki
  3. c.Sanjay Kothari
  4. d.Mahendra Nagpal

Answer: (C) Sanjay Kothari

Answer as of 2018 — this may have changed since.

Sanjay Kothari, a retired IAS officer of the Haryana cadre and former chairman of the Public Enterprises Selection Board, was appointed Secretary to the President in July 2017, when Ram Nath Kovind took office as the 14th President (25 July 2017). Kothari later became the Central Vigilance Commissioner in 2020. The post changes with each President, so treat this as a period fact.
