- a.funds development in cities for transport only
- b.funds development in rural areas for transport only
- c.funds project in cities and villages for transport, housing and environment protection
- d.limitedly funds road development for villages
Answer: (A) funds development in cities for transport only
Answer as of 2018 — this may have changed since.
The Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) was launched in December 2005 for cities only, with sub-missions for urban infrastructure and governance and for basic services to the urban poor. In its original form it covered water supply, sanitation, roads, urban transport and housing, and from 2015 it was replaced by AMRUT and the Smart Cities Mission. what is certain is that the mission never covered villages or rural areas, so (B), (C) and (D) are wrong.
