Which day is celebrated every year on 5th of December by Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations?
- a.World Soil Day
- b.World Health Day
- c.World Irrigation Day
- d.World Anti-Starvation Day
Answer: (A) World Soil Day
World Soil Day is observed on 5 December under the Food and Agriculture Organisation; the UN General Assembly endorsed it in 2013 and the first official observance was in 2014. The date marks the birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, who championed the idea. World Health Day is 7 April (WHO), World Food Day is 16 October (FAO's foundation day), and the other two options are not UN days.
