'Indian Independence League' was founded by
  1. a.Tilak
  2. b.Subhash Bose
  3. c.C. R. Das
  4. d.Rash Behari Bose

Answer: (D) Rash Behari Bose

Rash Behari Bose, who had escaped to Japan after the Delhi conspiracy (bomb attack on Lord Hardinge, 1912), organised the Indian Independence League through the Tokyo and Bangkok conferences of 1942. In July 1943 at Singapore he handed over the leadership of the League and the INA to Subhas Chandra Bose, so Subhas was its later leader, not its founder. Tilak founded the Home Rule League and C. R. Das the Swaraj Party.
